Dr Lina Khashogji

Thoughtful woman with glasses resting her face on her hand indoors.

Background & Experience

Lina is a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor, and Lecturer. She completed her professional clinical training at the Westminster Pastoral Foundation (WPF), alongside further qualifications in supervision at the Society of Analytical Psychology (SAP) and in group work at the Institute of Group Analysis (IGA).

With over ten years of experience providing open-ended psychotherapy, Lina has developed extensive expertise in working with a wide range of issues, including relationship difficulties, stress, anxiety, and depression. In addition to her private practice, she has worked with patients in organisational settings and within the NHS across East and North London. She currently works as a Group Therapist at St Pancras Hospital (Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust).

Lina completed her MA thesis with distinction on “The Creative Process in the Relational Space,” reflecting her interest in the relationship between psychoanalysis and creativity, and is currently undertaking further training in Group Analysis at the IGA.

Prior to her clinical training, Lina studied and worked across diverse fields including Art and Design, Journalism, and Diplomacy. She holds both a BA and MA in Art, Design, and the Creative Economy, as well as a PhD in Media, Politics, and Human Development. She believes that this interdisciplinary background, alongside her clinical training, has deepened her understanding of the relationship between internal and external worlds and their significance within the human condition.

Professional & Ethical Standards

Lina is a fully qualified Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and a clinical member of the UKCP, as well as a professional member of the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC). She works in accordance with their ethical and professional guidelines, including strict confidentiality and ongoing professional development.
